The inaugural STAIR Summit is scheduled for April 20–21, 2026, at Penn State University. 

Recognizing the evolving complexity of research administration and the limited professional development opportunities available, the STAIR Summit offers a platform for mutual learning, collaboration, and sustained engagement. The STAIR program sponsors Emerging Research Institutions and R1 Institutions from Emerging Research Institutions to attend STAIR Summits in 2026 and 2028. By doing so, the STAIR Summit cultivates a vibrant network of support to strengthen research infrastructure and sustain interest in research administration careers.
