Karen Kemirembe, PhD is an Associate Director of Foundation Relations at Penn State. She connects faculty and program leaders with private foundations to advance the university's research and strategic priorities. Karen specializes in securing funding for the Eberly College of Science, the Colleges of Earth and Mineral Sciences and Nursing, and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. Before joining Penn State, she consulted for nine small nonprofits, helping them raise funds from state, federal, and private foundations. She holds a Bachelor's from Wellesley College in Biological Sciences and Spanish, and a Master's and PhD in Entomology from Penn State.
